Hi, I’m Nick Bennett
(he/him)
I’m an art historian, writer, editor, and organizer living in Brooklyn, NY. My MA thesis “Queering Arcadia: Land and Body in Baroque Italy” will be completed in 2024 at Hunter College. For the Brooklyn Rail, I served as the Curatorial Assistant for exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Colby Museum of Art, Mana Contemporary, and as Director of Programs I produced over 600 episodes of the Rail’s New Social Environment daily conversation series. I’ve held positions at the Brooklyn Rail, New York; Petzel Gallery, New York; and the Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh. I’m currently the Ambassador of Transhistorical Agency at Mildred’s Lane, a working-living-researching landscape experiment founded by artists J. Morgan Puett and Mark Dion, and the editor of the forthcoming Collected Writings of Dorothea Rockburne.
